Coach Austin

Technical Coach

Coach Austin is a San Diego native who began playing for Tierrasanta AYSO at age 5, moved to the Albion SC Academy team at age 12, and played there until age 18. Austin attended St. Augustine High School and graduated in 2019.

Austin aspires to coach soccer at a collegiate or professional level and is currently pursuing a career in the front office of a professional soccer club. Austin holds a National “D” License from the United States Soccer Federation and specializes in field-player technical training.

Austin began coaching as a volunteer during his freshman year at Gonzaga, leading after-school sports programs for local kids aged 4-18. Austin continued coaching during college summers at YMCA sports camps, and most recently, coached youth boys teams for three seasons at Tierrasanta Futbol Academy and two middle school girls teams for one season at Francis Parker.

Austin graduated cum laude from Gonzaga University in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Concentration in Finance. Austin is a current MBA candidate at the University of San Diego and will graduate in May 2025 with a focus in Organizational Leadership.

Austin believes that patience and consistent positive reinforcement are the two keys to unlocking a player’s potential both on and off the field, and he implements this coaching style into every training session environment. Off the field, Austin enjoys biking, trivia, pickleball, crosswords, music, chess, spending time with friends and family, and watching as many soccer games as possible. We’re thrilled to have Austin be part of our Warner Athletics team!
